Who are Margot and Bowser?

Margot and Bowser are Caleb and Sadie's imaginary friends.

Margot joined our family when Sadie was 3.  You can read the whole story here. The short version is back at our house in Oakland, Sadie decided that the landing at the top of the stairs was Mexico.  I frequently had to tell the kids to go clean up Mexico.  So it shouldn't be surprising that Margot came to stay with us.  She's a little girl, actually a teenager (according to Sadie) with curly, blonde hair and blue eyes.  She has a very large family and enjoys going places with Sadie.

Bowser is indeed the Bowser from the world of Super Mario Brothers.  He's a large turtle/cow/dinosaur type thing- the villain who is always causing trouble in the world of Mario.  Fortunately, when he's visiting our house, he's usually better behaved but we have had incidents of booming.

These characters have been good friends to my kids and I will happily encourage them to stick around.  They've helped them to each cope with situations in their own little way (Margot's grandma died and Bowser came with us to Disney and rode all kinds of rides).
